Welcome to the Park Crescent

If you didn’t know it was there you wouldn’t know it was there. The Park Crescent is a hidden gem of a pub in the backstreets north of The Level.

It’s modern, bright, buzzy and slightly quirky, attracting a great mix of characters – a true local that’s famous for its party atmosphere.

The decked beer garden is popular summer and winter in all weathers thanks to outdoor heaters and the biggest umbrella you’ve ever seen, and Sunday’s quiz night draws a crowd more for fun than exhibitions of erudition.

The beers are brewed at Hall & Woodhouse’s Badger Brewery in Dorset, and the food is made in the Park Crescent’s own Thai Kitchen.

Regulars on the pumps include famous, award-winning, names like Badger First Gold, Tanglefoot and King & Barnes Sussex. Seasonal ales include Fursty Ferret, Hopping Hare and Pickled Partridge – they might sound frivolous, but they’re serious beers.

If you’re not sure what you want, ask for a taster.

And if it’s a lager you’re after, rest assured that the beers in the Hofbrau range are brewed in accordance with the reinheitsgebot German purity laws.
